Welcome to "No Training WheelsTM"

I would like to take a few moments and share with you a story of how "No Training WheelsTM" was started.

My son Tyler, at the age of 4, learned to ride his first bike with “No Training WheelsTM.”  His younger brother Kyle and sister Rachel followed along in his foot steps and learned to ride in the same manor.  My son’s technique in learning to ride his first bicycle began the journey in telling our story.

In the summer of 2005, my wife and I, along with our children, began the process of writing a children's book entitled, "Learn to Ride with The Bits".  The hope was to be able to share with other families and friends the benefits of what we had learned in training our children how to ride by using a "push bike" method.

In the spring of 2006, we were convinced of the benefits we could offer to other children and their parents, and formed  a small company No Training Wheels, LLC.   Since the formation of our company, we have published the book "Learning to Ride with The Bits" and then expanded to training classes.  With local sponsorship with the YMCA and other local companies, we have trained hundreds of kids using our patent pending training method.

In response to our success with the training classes in our local area, we are taking it to the next level, and wish to share the experience with parents everywhere.  In 2009, we are introducing a training DVD.  All the steps we use in our classes are covered, giving simple instructions to help parents teach their children to take their first bicycle ride.

Our goal of "No Training Wheels" is to provide parents with a unique teaching tool and to allow for positive learning interactions between parent and child.

I believe bike training is important life lesson and a step towards developing a positive self-image in an uplifting environment.

We have found the benefits of the method to be encouraging, fun and rewarding to kids every where. Children applying the method are able to safely learn to ride a bike at a much earlier age than those using traditional training wheels. In addition, they enjoy many other positive benefits:
positive self-esteem
healthy parent/child iteraction
physical activity

and many years of fun riding experiences as a family.

Thank you for visiting us at “No Training WheelsTM

May your family enjoy the benefits of riding together.
